PeDBoard, a power control board

Electronic devices require a power control board to function at their best and guarantee high standards of performance. This is why E.D. Elettronica Dedicata developed PeDBoard, a PCB specially designed for electronic power control that you can use to quickly create your own application in LabVIEW.

What is a power control board?

The PeDBoard power control board meets the requirements of a typical PED (Power Electronics and Drives) project run by universities, research centres and industrial R&D departments. It is an instrument based on National Instruments’ SoM system, which is used both in traditional applications – such as AC or DC electric motors – and in modern applications for power conversion and management in smart grids, solar systems and UPSs.

How it works

PeDBoard features

PeDBoard is a fully configurable dedicated PCB with algorithms and interfaces that can be managed completely in LabVIEW. It can be adapted to all power converters with a dedicated adapter for specific applications. The device is extremely versatile, suitable for a variety of uses.

The PeDBoard power control board incorporates many functions able to meet the requirements of a typical PED project in universities, research centres and corporate and industrial R&D departments.

It can be connected to almost any power converter thanks to the application-specific adapter board. The adapter board is located at the top of the PED board and provides the necessary connections to external devices.
